We are looking for a Cloud DevSecOps specialist TEX for one of the largest European Institutions in Brussels, Belgium, Do you want to work for the EU and impact millions of citizens with the code you write? If yes, we can talk.
Please note: This role is Contract/Freelancer where you will be asked to register your own company. Our contract team can advise you in this process. Also unlike most Freelance roles in the private sector, this role is for a very long time (a couple of years). Hence 0% loss of income or ending up in between projects.

Project Description:-
Description of Tasks:-
o Support day-to-day operations (e.g., bug and issues fixes, etc...) and cloud maintenance tasks (e.g., user and resource management, etc...).
o Build and implement reusable Infrastructure as Code solutions.
o Test and implement OSS or COTS cloud-based services.
o Review code and architecture of systems delivered by other contract(or)s.
o Evaluate and refactor existing systems, supervision of delivery quality.
o Design and develop secure and reliable architecture components and building blocks.
o Develop new functionality in cloud-native or cloud-agnostic applications, as part of Proofs-of-Concept.
o Architect and design information systems hosted on the cloud (focus is on dataoriented solutions).
o Develop and maintain technical documentation.
o Analyse, report, and share lessons learned from different cloud services and architectural patterns to technical teams in the European institutions.
Knowledge and skills:-
o Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure.
o Good knowledge of cloud services and applications.
o Good understanding of DevOps principles, including pipelines.
o Knowledge of cloud-based data applications and services and good knowledge of both relational and non-relational data stores.
o Knowledge of micro services architecture design, development, deployment, and instrumentation, including the use of infrastructure as code.
o Knowledge of applications design.
o Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. message oriented middleware).
o Strong knowledge on source controller concepts and tools (e.g., git, GitHub and GitLab).
o Practical knowledge of common security threats, security controls and associated technologies and practices related to securing cloud platforms, cloud services and associated cloud-based resources and infrastructure.
o Ability to give technical presentations.
o Ability to apply high quality standards.
o Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment.
